Services - Recycling

As part of our Asset Management services Unixcentral provide full recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of IT equipment.

Using our own specialist vehicles and handling equipment, we offer a fast and effective solution for the collection of your excess hardware.

We recycle in three ways:

  • Redeployment/Upgrading
  • Recycling/Refurbishing
  • Correct Disposal

Our carefully selected partners, who ensure strict procedures are followed and all items are recycled or disposed of in accordance with current government legislation, process all equipment.

Unixcentral International is working towards improved environmental knowledge and endeavouring to raise awareness within the industry by working with several ISO 14001 approved partners.

Further Information

We test, audit and refurbish excess IT equipment on-site. The refurbishment process involves data removal and configuration to any required specification. Ownership remains with the client until we are asked to sell the equipment. Or we can purchase your hardware for refurbishment.

For hardware that has no further value or is non-functioning, disposal is provided in line with The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive, which came in to force from 13th August 2004. Designed to cut waste from electrical and electronic goods reaching landfill sites, the directive has major implications and associated costs to be added to the product lifecycle.
